It's ragweed season here in Texas and there are days I want to remove my eye balls so I can properly scratch them and then put them back in my head! I've been taking homeopathic tablets to help soothe the itchy eyes and runny nose and I'm a fan! It's totally working. Inspired by these miracle tabs I thought I'd share some favorite DIY 'medicine cabinet' remedies!
You'll need: a favorite cork
approximately 1 minute or less!
(optional) little fur face helper, you know to play with the corks and help you pick the best one ; )
Place washer on end of cork, screw in eyelet, add keyring and HAPPY DAY you've got a shiny new keyring!
I LOVE a start to finish project and I'm a big fan of making art for your own home. I'd started a pen and ink project on a canvas a LONG time ago and it was time for a change of plans! I have a TON of embroidery cotton thanks to a dear friend who cleaned out her craft room and figured I'd use it to to create something! Hammer + nails + embroidery thread and this canvas is now happily hanging in my yoga nook! It took Friday night while watching Can't Buy Me Love and Saturday off and on all day and it was done! 96 skeins of embroidery cotton and a little patience. It was actually really soothing, zen craft time and so easy! I totally recommend it! The sides are my favorite. Once you're done adding thread make sure the nails are hammered in good and then nail them over with the hammer, bending them so they lay flat on the canvas and stretch the threads a bit. Have a wonderful week! Lacy
My Mema is by far the thriftiest gal I know. Her eye is impeccable and she can find a treasure (at a bargain price) in a sea of junk. Last week we got to have a thrift day and it was a blast!
Naturally I tried on faux fur coats in 100 degree weather,
We visited my first estate sale where I saw this sweet little piece and bought several books there for .25 each!
When I got home I set to work with my days finds... I took an x-acto knife to poetry books and classics and started stapling them on the bare wall in my new studio.
I went back through with a couple different shades of purple map colors and highlighted, circled, drew arrows and made notations on some of the lines I love.
Thank you, Mema for a wonderful day! I had a blast and my studio is coming right along! XO Lacy
