A lot to say Tuesday

Hello on this Tuesday!

I have today off so I am getting all kinds of marvelous things done. I am really kicking butt and taking names today despite some really big kinks in the plan that have developed in the past few days. Actually I am thinking of making some lemonade out of all these lemons being pummeled at upper extremities. Anyone thirsty? I always have umbrella straws handy to make it a party!

One of my most recent creations arrived to it's home over the weekend and they loved it. I've never had anyone say they hated an album but my heart soars when I get that email that says how lovely it was. This album was made for my gf Kristin, a gift from her hubby! Smart man, right! He was very sweet about it.

I decorated the cover with one of my fave Curly Girl cards! Leigh is amazing, you can't look at her work and not smile. I really love the idea of decorating my little album art pieces with someone else's art and someone else's photos. It's collaboration, it's flattery and it supports another artist. Of course always do so in a way that is complimentary to the work of that artist and on the up and up. : ) Spread the love people. Spread the love.

When I was a kid I LOVED fortune cookies. I'd get a dozen and eat them all in one sitting. Yesterday, I took a little trip down memory lane and stuffed my cheeks like a chipmunk with perfectly delicious fortune cookies! Yeap I ate them all in one sitting and didn't even get a belly ache. I got lotsa good stuff out of them too!

Allow me a sappy moment if you will:
At the end of the day Love is Fortune and I am overwhelmed with the love that I have around me. It's very cool. Actually I am certain that God made that little crook between the chest and arm of men to serve as direct little portals to feeling loved and safe. In my mind it is the grown up version of hiding under the covers.

And don't even get me started on girl friends. WOW do I have some good ones showing up for me and they don't even know the enormity of what it means to me right in this moment. Remember how they always say careful what you ask for, you just might get it. I actually love that saying. At the beginning of the year I wrote what I wanted for 2009 in my journal and here we are half way through the year and I am so very thankful to have strong beautiful women supporting me. SO VERY THANKFUL!

Some kitty is being a very bad boy! These baskets have cloth napkins and placements in them and he thinks it is a great place to hang out. He also knows that his treats are in the green bowl on the next shelf down. I've walked in many a days to find him trying desperately to curl up in that tiny bowl. He can't get his treats open but he's just as happy to sit on them and purr.

The beauties are still going strong.
Every morning they delight me with a few more unfurled petals and the sweetest scent. Cliff giggles at me because I smell them every time I walk past.
