Ready to get this juice + smoothie party started?

This big ole email will give you all you need to know for your upcoming cleanse starting March 10th!

COMMUNITY:

I have created a private Facebook page where you can come to post questions or just feel loved +  supported by myself and the other folks participating in Juice, Blend, Repeat. You can join the Facebook page by clicking here (LINK BROKEN) and following the instructions to “request to join the group.”

TOOLS:

You will need a JUICER + a BLENDER for this detox. You may also do the entire detox with a blender. Takes a bit more work but can be done! If you’re just blending you will also need a gallon sized paint strainer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C2A81UW?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B00C2A81UW&linkCode=xm2&tag=lacyyoung-20)  or nut milk bag (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DAI7KTI?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B00DAI7KTI&linkCode=xm2&tag=lacyyoung-20)  to strain your juice.

Juicer: I started juicing after seeing the trailer for Fat, Sick + Nearly Dead! I ordered a cheap juicer from Overstock.com and juiced daily for the next several months! I finally saw Fat, Sick + Nearly dead almost three months later and it was amazing! I highly recommend you watch that documentary at some point in the near future! I’ve since upgraded to a Breville juicer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QBFFU8?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B000QBFFU8&linkCode=xm2&tag=lacyyoung-20) and I LOVE it.

Blender: While a Vitamix is AMAZING, most blenders will get the job done. Some of the smaller bullets (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E7XGX6?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B001E7XGX6&linkCode=xm2&tag=lacyyoung-20)  are really efficient!

JOURNAL:

I am big fan of journaling, especially when embarking on a cleanse. It creates the space for setting intentions, honestly exploring feelings as you move through the cleanse and then reflecting on how much better you feel. I feel better every single time I do a cleanse!

Think about any patterns, habits or cravings that you may want to change during your cleanse, for example:

● Are there any routines around eating that you want to change? Maybe you’re ready to turn off the tv or put down your phone during meal times.

● Is there anything you’d like to learn about yourself, your eating or your body through a cleanse? Perhaps you notice that you are eating out of boredom, sadness or maybe to celebrate.

● What are you excited about?

● Worried about?

Listen to your body. Take some time today to take stock on where you’re at right now in your life and your relationship with food. You are the expert on you and there’s some very valuable info tucked away in there.

Have you cleansed before? How was that experience for you? Have you ever found that you self-sabotage? Is there anything you could do to ensure that doesn’t happen? When in your life have you felt the most successful with food?

Specifically, set an intention for your cleanse. Consider starting a food journal today to bring awareness to what kinds of foods you are eating, how big your portions are and when you are eating (are you hungry, bored, tired, happy, sad etc.). How do you feel before and after eating? Are you starving and then super stuffed?

Consider the following leading up to and during the cleanse:

DO MORE:

● Drink more water! Perhaps the easiest of all. Start each morning with at least 20 ounces. Try to drink it before you even get out of bed!

● Sweat to eliminate toxins (light to moderate exercise or even easier, hit the steam room or sauna).

● Eat fruits and veggies especially dark leafy greens + root veggies.

● Cook at home and prepare simple meals. Home cooking is the easiest way to control the ingredients that go into your meal. Baked root vegetables with spices or steamed greens with salt + pepper are an excellent choice for pre-cleansing.

DO LESS:

● Sugar!

● Binge Eating. The idea of binge then cleanse is not what we are going for here. Resist the urge to eat a “Last Supper” feast before you start your cleanse. You already know what those foods taste like. You have eaten them hundreds of times. Any beautifully dressed up slice of sugar is only going to make the withdraw experience more extreme come the first day of the cleanse.

● Alcohol. Umm it’s a sugar. I know, that part always kills me too!

● Chocolate. Did I just lose a few of you? It will be there when you’re ready to come back to it (IF you still want to– you might just surprise yourself).

● Dairy. If you’re used to eating lots of cheese, drinking a glass of milk a day etc., now is the time to start tapering off and even eliminating it before you begin your cleanse. Consider subbing in Almond, Rice or Oat Milk. Almond is the favorite in our house. I’ve done a video on how to make it right here.

● Refined, processed anything. Especially refined white flours. Consider subbing in healthier organic versions of what you usually eat. For example organic corn chips (I like the blue ones) can be subbed for potato chips. Or go with baked sweet potato fries instead of fried french fries.

● Red Meat. Red meat in the body adds to swelling + swelling adds to dis-ease.

● Caffeine. This is a big one. The first time my husband and I ever cleansed he spent most of the first day curled up in a ball on the bed with a pounding head from severe caffeine withdrawals. At the time he was a morning 3-cup coffee drinker and it hit him like a ton of bricks! Depending on how much caffeine you drink either in the form of sodas or coffee consider tapering yourself off in a way that works for your body. Write down how much you drink a day and develop your 4 day reduce + eliminate plan… today 1 less cup, tomorrow 1/2 the amount you’d usually drink and introduce black or green tea… etc. If you’re a soda drinker consider trying sparkling water + fruit.

A note on fruit: It is best to eat fruit alone as it digests quickly in the body. Eating fruit with other foods causes it to ferment in the stomach while the other food is digesting. It causes gas and over time hernias can form. It’s ideal to give yourself at least 20 minutes before consuming other foods.

p.s. The next email you will receive will be on the first day of your cleanse. Talk to you on Facebook!

Thank you so much for joining me for a THREE days of juice, smoothie and whole foods detoxing next week! Get ready for a complete transformation of mind and body. Congratulations on giving yourself the gift of physical and mental clarity. I cannot wait for you to start on March 10th.

Here are a few things you can do to prepare:

1.     Please close your eyes for a moment and take a deep breath. Become aware of how your body feels in this moment. Visualize how you’ll feel after 5 days of clean eating. See yourself feeling lighter, brighter, and ready to take on new challenges!

2.     Now write down your intentions for this detox. Refer to them frequently to remind yourself why you decided to reboot.

3.     Keep an open mind, remain conscious, and let this cleanse reveal your very best YOU.

4. Begin tapering off of caffeine in all forms and consider eating one raw meal (meaning uncooked, like a salad, a green juice or a fruit smoothie) a day until we begin. Both will help ease you into the detox.

Your shopping list will be coming next! Over the THREE days of the actual detox, I’ll send daily emails with cleansing tips and a recommended plan for the day – read them thoroughly! I am here to support you 100% along the way. Reply to this email with any questions (no question is too simple!) and for general support and encouragement (I really mean it!).

Warmly,
Lacy

It's all juice, all day!

Welcome to Day 1!

If you've not yet joined the Facebook page and would like to click HERE (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1443976065820972/) + I'll add you to the group.

Today you're essentially replacing breakfast, lunch and dinner with green juices. The space between will be filled with herbal teas, fruit juices, almond milk and water. It's really important to drink plenty of water while you're cleaning. You will absolutely feel like you're drinking ALL DAY LONG. You're in good company, we're all drinking with ya!

I filmed a little video with a few words on why day 1 breakfast juice is SO big + some thoughts on exercise while cleansing. See it here. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_1Qkmudjo4&feature=youtu.be)

Tips for success!

HOW MUCH JUICE WILL YOU BE DRINKING?
You've heard the saying 'one man's medicine is another man's poison.' It's true for juicing too.  For the sake of the cleanse I drink between 12 - 16 ounces at each meal or snack. My husband drinks upwards of 20+ ounces. Experiment and see what feels best in your body then modify your juice recipes accordingly. If you'd like to make more juice try adding another cucumber or more romaine lettuce to the recipe. Both have a high water content and will increase the volume of juice.
ORGANIC VS CONVENTIONAL PRODUCE
If you're using conventionally grown or non-organic produce be sure to peel the skins off any fruit or veggie that can be peeled (like apples, pears and cucumbers) to help reduce your exposure to pesticides.
NUT MILK
Lots of you are asking if it's OK to drink store bought nut milk. While it's best to make your own, it's totally fine to use a store bought milk to create ease in your cleanse. Just make sure that sugar and carageenan do not appear in the ingredient list. Making your own nut milk is super simple if you have a high speed blender. My video on making almond milk can be found right here. (https://vimeo.com/49638553)

If you're feeling like you need a little more sustenance while you're cleansing nut milk will become your bestie! If you're allergic to nuts obviously you will not be drinking almond milk. A nice substitution for evening nut milk is sipping on warm veggie broth.

LISTENING TO YOUR BODY
This first day of your cleanse is going to be FULL of information. As your body begins detoxing it will be communicating with you via thoughts and sensations. You may experience a headache, feel sluggish or tired, need to urinate A LOT, have both physical and emotional cravings. You may notice a mood... elated or completely bummed! It is all okay. Each persons experience varies wildly. Listen to your body, journal your thoughts and feelings, rest as much as you can, drink plenty of water and consider sharing what comes up for you with the group on the Facebook page. Remember there are no prizes for suffering. Make sure that you don't allow yourself to get too hungry. Sipping warm water with lemon throughout the day will help curb your hunger and also soothe any frazzled nerves.

REMOVE TEMPTATIONS
If you haven't already, clear out any and all temptations from your space first thing today! Get rid of that bar of chocolate that is winking at you in your desk drawer. Clear out the junk food in your home (even if that means stashing it at the neighbors house for the week).

I have been laughing at myself all weekend because I've been a little (okay, A LOT) over-the-top excited about this week and all we'll be clearing out, experiencing and creating together. Love yourself enough to make your juices, delight in the time is takes (because we all know this takes a commitment on so many levels) and start to listen to your mind, body and spirit.

Please share your intention for why you're here + what you're looking forward to over on the Facebook page!

I'm so glad that you're here!

Love + Juice,
Lacy

P.S. Need a smile? Listen to this!

JUICE TIP: Sprinkle cinnamon on top of your Carrot, Apple, Ginger for a boost! It tastes delish and cinnamon helps to regulate blood sugar, reduces menstrual pain and LDL cholesterol. Makes you think twice about that fabulous spice, doesn't it!

JUICER BASICS
If you're brand new to juicing there are a few things that are good to know!

1. Juicers are pretty easy to use.  Always turn the juicer on before you put produce down the shoot.  Make sure your produce will fit in the shoot, I typically cut apples in half or thirds.

2. Clean your juicer right after using it.  It's so much easier to rinse it right away then to scrub dried veggie pulp away after a little time (speaking from experience).  If you don't have a compost pile or bin and you will be throwing the pulp away I suggest you put it in plastic bag or directly into your outside bin.  All that alive food will deteriorate and smell quickly!

3. Juicing citrus. You can leave the peel and pith (white part under the peel) on for lemons + limes. Always peel oranges and grapefruits.

When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out - because that's what's inside. When you are squeezed, what comes out is what is inside. - Wayne Dyer

Oh hey, day 2!

Today you're on repeat from yesterday with any modifications you need to keep this train moving forward!

What did you discover yesterday?
Did you find that you were sticking close to the bathroom or nursing a headache?
Are you feeling empowered, tired, hopeful?
What's going on in that beautiful body of yours? Consider spending some time this morning journaling about what you're feeling.

WHY?

Juice cleansing comes with all kinds of rules + regulations. Juice this, don't juice that... there are sooo many opinions on the 'right' way. There are certainly a few guidelines that are helpful like juice lemon skins but not orange skins (because they are hard on your digestion) but beyond that I'm here to tell you that the right way to do it is the way that feels right in your body.

WHY AM I COLD?

When cleansing your body is taking a break from digesting BUT it's consumed with other work. You may find that while your internal fire is working hard to clear toxins from the body your limbs will be cold! You can help your body by bundling up. Think hat, scarf + cozy socks!

WHY AM I PEEING SO MUCH?

Perhaps the most common sensical... the toxins have to get out somehow. You're drinking liquid all day so liquid is going to come out. Don't let that keep you from drinking copious amounts of water. Aim for half your body weight in ounces and try to get most of your water drinking in before 2 pm to help you get a good nights rest without having to get up and down to go to the bathroom.

WHY HAVEN'T I ELIMINATED? OR WHY HAVE I ELIMINATED SO MUCH?

The cleansing process is different for each person.

You're removing the fiber from fruits and veggies and drinking pure, liquid nutrition. If you've not eliminated today it's O.K. Your body will begin to normalize very soon. It is completely ok to take a natural laxative if you're feeling like your body needs the support. I recommend an herbal tea with slippery elm bark like Smooth Move.

If you've eliminated a lot that is also completely O.K. Your body will move toxic material out through sweat, urine and stool. Invite all that is no longer serving your body to leave it.

WHY AM I STILL HUNGRY?

Often times cravings are just a sign that you're dehydrated. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water between juices. Feel free to increase the amount of juice you're drinking if you were ravaged all day Monday.

WHY CAN'T I CHEW?
Try your best to avoid chewing on juice cleansing days. Chewing stimulates digestion and part of the WHY behind juice cleansing is to give your body a break from digestion so that it can move toxins out. A few nuts + seeds can be a total sanity saver but they can also make you want to eat more food and cause more difficulty (both emotional and in digestion).

All that said I'm not an all or nothing gal so if you feel like you're withering on the vine and another juice isn't cutting itthen soak some almonds and try a few. Just make sure that you chew, chew, chew them before swallowing. You will likely find that you only need a few to satisfy and you can go back to regularly scheduled juice programming. It's so not the end of the world, you're the boss of you! Go with that feels best!

Head on over to the Facebook page and share what's going really well for you so far!

Love,
Lacy

You are doing GREAT

These first two days require a lot of self-discipline, self-love and downright strength! Get to the end of this day and you'll be smooth sailing for the rest of the week. The rewards of cleansing are all about shining from the inside out. Stand proudly in the energy and clarity that comes from giving yourself this time.

Your lunch is pretty powerful! Here's why:

Every juice, every meal was crafted with your insides in mind!

Parsley is an intestinal scrubber. It's doing the work of cleaning internal house. It is one of THE highest sources of chlorophyll. Parley helps to calm upset stomach while delivering clean energy, cleanse the liver, kidneys and urinary tract.

Cucumber is super cooling sending love and soothing to your tired and overworked digestive tract. Cucumber contains alkaline-forming minerals (we want our bodies to be more alkaline, less acid) so it's perfect for cleansing.

Mint is refreshing and a natural antioxidant. It has a wide variety of medicinal properties: helps with digestion, is used for soothing cramps, headache, nausea and diarrhea. Mint is a known cleanser for the blood and helps get rid of acne from the inside out.

“Don't eat anything incapable of rotting.” ― Michael Pollan, In Defense of Food

I doubled the recipe to make soup for two.

I doubled the recipe to make soup for two.

Have you ever been this excited to chew?

It's a brand new day and with it comes a morning smoothie and soup for lunch! Get ready to do a happy dance! You will likely feel your mood lift + experience a boost of energy.
Today we're talking SKIN + inviting in two practices to support your cleanse.

SKIN CARE

Dry skin brushing + dry sauna are all excellent practices to bring into a cleanse.

Dry brushing:

Helps improve blood flow and lymphatic circulation.
Moves metabolic waste and helps to eliminate toxins!
Exfoliates dead skin cells + unclogs pores (also helps to stop ingrown hairs from developing).
Stimulates your nervous system.
Reduces cellulite, tightens loose skin and helps to reduce stretch marks (bonus, right!).

You'll need ::  a natural bristle body brush like this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0020HEBX8?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creativeASIN=B0020HEBX8&linkCode=xm2&tag=lacyyoung-20&th=) 1+ 10 - 15 minutes. You should be able to find an inexpensive brush at your local natural foods store or drug store.

Make sure to:

Apply light pressure to sensitive areas (thighs, belly and chest) and firm pressure to tough areas (feet, elbows)
Brushing gently in a circular upward motion.
Work from the outer limbs toward the heart.

Sauna:

Your skin is the largest organ in your body and it's main job is to flush out toxins via perspiring.

Sauna:

Allows tremendous relaxation + beneficial sweat!
The warmth can be very soothing while cleansing.
Better blood flow will allow for reduced blood pressure and a glowing complexion.
Sauna heat accelerates metabolism and breakdown of fat which means it's a wonderful way to help reduce body mass. You will burn around 500 calories in 20 minutes.

Many gyms + spas have dry saunas and will offer a day pass. Consider finding a sauna to sit in sometime in the near future.

YOU are doing such a great job! I am rooting for you every step of the way and I'm so very honored to be with you on this journey!

Lacy

There's magic in your smoothie today!

Cacao beans (or nibs when they are broken down into little pieces) are the raw, unprocessed nutrient-dense form of chocolate that are taken out of the hard pods on the cacao tree. You can eat them raw, roasted, brewed, powdered or as an extract.

Cacao has up to 4x more antioxidants than green tea. The increase heart function and decrease stress. They boost serotonin and phenylethylamine levels (natural mood enhancers) thus benefiting depression. Cacao is a natural multivitamin and contains minerals and essential fatty acids. Plus, it tastes AMAZING!

WATER

Remember to keep drinking plenty of water throughout the day. As a general rule of thumb make sure that you're not going more than 2 hours without drinking water. Your body needs the water to help flush your system. It's doing the very important work of rinsing your organs and carrying away toxic material out of the blood system. Aim to drink from half to all of your body weight in water today.

If you're getting tired of water + lemon consider adding mint to create a refreshing infusion!

“Your body is precious. It is our vehicle for awakening. Treat it with care.” ~Buddha

Mindful Eating + Digestion

By entering into this cleanse you entered into an unspoken agreement to spend five days eating mindfully. You've taken care to prep by reducing or eliminating things like caffeine, alcohol + sugar. You filled your grocery carts with a ridiculous (and by ridiculous I mean WONDERFUL) amount of veggies! And of course, you've spent this entire week preparing and consuming your veggie bounty.

Today we're going to take it one step further to explore the roles of mindful eating + digestion. So often we eat mindlessly. We stuff food into our mouths while working on the computer, watching TV, or when we’re on the run. The pleasure of eating lies in slowing down and fully experiencing all of the elements of food. Take some time to explore the following next time you eat.

Sight: Look at your food and imagine you are a Martian scientist. You just arrived on Earth and have never seen this food before. Look at it carefully without naming it. Can you see the water, the rain and the sunlight within the food?

Smell: Bring the food up to your nose. Without naming the scent, experience smelling the food, and then describe what you smell.

Physiological reaction: Now focus on what is going on in your mouth. Begin to notice that saliva is produced, even though you haven't yet put the food in your mouth. Notice the mind/body phenomenon and how the senses respond to the anticipation of food being eaten.

Touch: Now explore how the food feels. Without naming the sensation, just experience touching your food.

Motion and movement: How is it that your hand knows how to move the food directly to the lips? As you bring the food up to your mouth, notice what happens next. The mouth receives the food. Nothing goes into the mouth without it being received. And who or what is doing the receiving? The tongue. Observe what the tongue does with it. How does it get the food between the teeth? It's amazing that the tongue is so skilled, and that such a remarkable muscle can actually receive food and then know what to do with it every time.

Taste: After becoming aware of the food in your mouth, start biting into it very slowly. Then begin to chew. Notice that the tongue decides which side of the mouth it's going to chew on. Give all your attention to your mouth and take a few bites. Then stop to experience what's happening. What is happening is invariably an explosion of taste. Express what's going on. Be really specific. What is the experience? Is it sweet or sour or juicy? There are hundreds of words to describe the experience of tasting.

Texture: As you continue to chew the tastes change, as does the consistency. At a certain point you will become aware of the texture of the food because the taste has mostly passed. If the texture causes aversion, you may want to swallow it, but try to keep it in your mouth.

Swallow: Don’t swallow it yet. Stay with the impatience and the inborn impulse to swallow. Do not swallow until you detect the impulse to do so. And then observe what is involved in getting the food over to the place where it's going to be swallowed. When you detect the impulse to swallow, follow it down into the stomach, feel your whole body and acknowledge that your body is now exactly one bite heavier.

Breath: Next, pause for a moment or two, and see if you can taste your breath in a similar way. Bring the same quality of attention to the breath that you gave to seeing, feeling, smelling and tasting the food.

Silence: Be silent. By this point, you understand something of what meditation is. It is doing what we do all the time, except we're doing it with attention: Directed, moment-to-moment, nonjudgmental attention.

You can also do this with another person, moving the food close to their mouth, but not all the way into their mouth. You can even massage their lips with the food to see what happens. The main thing is to have fun, learn something and understand yourself better.

Let's Meditate!

The first two days of the cleanse you were giving your digestion a vacation. Two days of pure liquid nutrients delivered right into the blood stream for effortless energy. Yesterday, you started easing back into gentle digestion with your delish smoothie and soothing soup. Today, you'll spend time visualizing the digestive process and explore the power of being connected to your body and it's processes. You'll need to give yourself 15 minutes for the meditation and then a few after to write down discoveries. Taking the time to listen is yet another gift to yourself during this cleanse!

Click here to access the meditation. I am excited to hear what comes up for you!

One day to go! You're on the home stretch now! I'm so proud of you! I'm LOVING your emails sharing how this experience is opening up and changing things in your life! Thank you for sharing part of your journey with me! I continue to be so very honored. It's so true that FOOD CHANGES EVERYTHING!

VITAMIN L

Have you ever heard of Vitamin L? It is perhaps one of THE MOST IMPORTANT vitamins on the planet. Some say it's all you need. I'm talking about LOVE of course! This morning as you make your smoothie consider taking the extra time to infuse love into every. single. ingredient that you put into your blender. Notice how you feel while making it and how you feel while drinking it.

P.s. This smoothie could use some loving... it's SO gorgeous all laid out

but it comes out looking like rootbeer!

Don't judge a smoothie by its color! It is completely delicious!

Consider the following and explore what comes up for you via journaling or share on the Facebook page if you feel moved to do so.

HOW you eat is just as important as WHAT you eat!
You + your body are a team. It is not against you, never has been, never will be.
Cravings are your body communicating with you.
The absolute best way to know what's going into your body is to prepare your own food. How often have you left a restaurant with a belly ache wondering "what was in that?"
How are you feeling physically, emotionally and spiritually nearly 4 days into this experience?

You've done it! You've made it to day F I V E!

WHAT NOW?

First things first CONGRATULATE YOURSELF on making it to day 5! You may have wanted to quit one or many times in the past week but here you are! It's a huge achievement! You've honored your body in such a profound way! Cleansing is such an effective way to heal + nourish the body!

WHAT TO EAT

Consider spending Saturday + Sunday much like you did today! Make your favorite smoothie from the week for breakfast, have leftover veggie bake for lunch and create a salad for dinner.
If you find that you're tired of being in your own kitchen visit Whole Foods or local (healthy, organic) salad bar and create a salad. Make sure that you don't use a dairy based dressing. Stick to oil + vinegar.
Sip veggie broth or make root veggie soup again.
Eat fruit.
Consider sticking to a green smoothie, green juice or a bowl of fruit for a full week for breakfast post cleanse.
Steam some veggies for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You may find that more "traditional" breakfasts consisting of breads, cereals etc no longer suit your needs. Embrace the changes + illuminations that have come from this week.
The key thing to keep in mind is keep your food simple and light! Stick to the same foods you've been eating all week but try them in different combos and forms. Like instead of a veggie bake, make a veggie stir fry!
Miso soup makes a wonderful dinner post cleanse.
Keep drinking lots of water.

WHAT TO AVOID

Avoid overeating!
You will want to avoid animal products, especially red meat, milk + cheese for a few days and then slowly reintroduce it to your system if you chose to do so. If you do decide to add it back in do so at lunch when your digestive fire is strongest. Take care to chew and eat mindfully if/ when you bring animal products back into your body. Remember that you're negotiating not only nutritional aspects of the food but also the energy of the animal it came from. If/ when you introduce animal foods back go for steamed fish or eggs first. Absolutely go organic everywhere you can! It can often take a full week to add back in meat + dairy so be patient and listen to your body.
Stay FAR away from highly processed modern convenience foods for a few days. Anything that is served in a package or a box (that includes pizza and any take out for that matter) will send your tummy into doing somersaults in the bad way!
If you're going back to caffeine consider easing in the same way you eased out. Go half caffeine or green tea. The first time you have a caffeinated drink notice how you feel. Does it feel good? Supportive? You may find that you're ordering a smaller size and drinking much less.
If/ when you bring alcohol back in start with 1 drink and see how you feel. Think glass of red wine not frozen daiquiri.

TAKE SOMETHING WITH YOU

After every cleanse I do I take something with me and implement it into my daily life. Consider choosing one aspect of this cleanse that was supportive for you and keep it around for a while!

A few ideas:

Morning warm water + lemon
Daily juice or smoothie for breakfast or dinner
Drinking herbal tea instead of caffeinated beverages
Mindful eating/ chewing more
Sauna or Dry Brushing or both!

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

As you've been cleansing you may have noticed lots of sensations in your body. Perhaps the morning smoothie from day 3 left you feeling really full or the veggie bake gave you some intestinal gas? Keep listening as you move mindfully back into daily life. Your body will let you know when it's ready to eat something else. Make micro adjustments here and there towards what feels best for you. Remember there is no one size fits all diet!

You may find that you need to eat much less at meals. Allow yourself to eat until you're satisfied and then save the rest. Old beliefs like you must "clean your plate" may no longer serve you so feel free to exchange them for new beliefs!

Carry the feeling of a rejuvenated body with you! You worked hard for it! Use this experience to build momentum in your life! You've done a week long cleanse... think of what else you could conquer!

Did you love this experience?

If you found this time valuable would you mind sharing the love by telling your friends + family about it? This work, spending time with each of you on Facebook, through email and over the phone makes me happy from my tippy toes, through my cleansed belly, right through my heart and out each and every curl on my head.
