Green Power Smoothie

This past week green smoothies have been our morning favorite!  I often switch back and forth from green juice to smoothies depending on what kind of mood I'm in and what I feel my body needs at the time.  There are so many wonderful green smoothie recipes out there, this one is our morning go to.  I am actually drinking one now as I type ; )

To vary thick/thinness of smoothie add more or less almond milk or subtract 1/2 a banana

Serves 2

  • 16 oz almond milk
  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 2 dates (pitted) Medjool are my favorite.  I buy these by the pint at Whole Foods (usually in the produce section) and keep them in the fridge.  They are a wonderful way to naturally sweeten
  • 2 tbsp almond butter (mine are usually heaping)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (readily found in bulk bins at natural food stores)
  • 1 tsp Vita Mineral Green* (or other green powder) *THE BEST green powder I've found! I am CRAZY about this stuff, it's so so good! You can find Vita Mineral Green in my online store or at a local health food store.  The taste is NOT overpowering and you'll be starting with just 1 tsp so you might not even taste it in your smoothie.  It's one little tsp with a lot of goodness!

  • Blend together and serve

Happy Friday!
