We've had an avocado based smoothie almost everyday lately and THIS ONE is truly special. Of all the combos and experiments I've done this has to be one of my favorites. It was made purely out of what we had on hand at the time and turned out to be a total success!
COCONUT, BASIL + AVOCADO SMOOTHIE
*Gluten-free *Dairy-free *Vegan
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 avocado
- 3 medjool dates, pitted
- 1-2 tbsp basil
- 2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
- 2 tsp maca powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup coconut water (optional to thin the smoothie a bit)
- 1 cup ice
- Blend everything but the ice until smooth
- Add ice
- Blend again + serve!
