Miso Soup
Miso Soup = probiotics, B12 + immune support!
Miso is a tremendous health food that has been used in Asian cultures for centuries. It renews intestinal flora, alkalizes the blood and helps to cleanse nicotine and radioactive substances from the body. And of course it's a wonderful source of protein.
Garlic Potato With Roasted Leek & Asparagus Soup
I am so excited that it's time to share this one! Isn't my sous chef cute in his onion glasses!? This recipe is a chop-a-palooza! I am hoping since it's the holidays you're hanging out at home with some time... so this one is a multi-step recipe. Light a candle, turn on some music and get ready for a really fun recipe. You're about to feel like a serious cook!
Quinoa Stuffing
Tomato & Bulgur Soup
Don't let the simplicity of this one fool you. It's gooooood!
Happy week before Christmas! Whether you celebrate the holiday or not I am sure you can feel the energy in the air and no doubt you've experienced your fair share of holiday lines and traffic. I selected this soup with this week in mind for it's simplicity.
Butternut Squash Stew
Is it just me or do you also feel like a culinary bad ass picking out squash? Squash is one of those veggies that I used to pass right by in the grocery store without giving them a second thought. I had no idea what to do with them so I just ignored them. Seemed like the sensible thing to do at the time. Learning how to use veggies that previously intimated me has been a huge part of gaining confidence in the kitchen and having more fun with food!
Chipotle Chocolate Chili
Cauliflower Soup
Thai Mushroom Soup
Thai Mushroom Soup
So simple, kinda addictive.
At some point something will happen in each of our lives that we will bump up against. Deny. Wish was different. Ignore (or try so hard). It will gut you. Burst you open and break you down. It will challenge you. Test you. Mock you. Love you. Transform you. My teacher for the last 10 years has been something called Tracheal Stenosis. Yours will likely have a different name.
Meet Black Bean, Quinoa + Kale Soup
For the sake of ease I am not going to put the word organic in front of every ingredient but DO USE organics where ever you can. The nutrients in organics have been proven more dense (aka more vitamins, minerals and good stuff for your body) and using organics limits your exposure to pesticides. Hooray! I've never met anyone yet who prefers a hot cuppa pesticide soup.
