Here are a few of my fave pages from my most recent Lacylike Design.
This was a gift from daughter, Amanda, to mother, Lisa, for mom's 50th birthday.
I am so honored to hear the stories behind the people and pictures and to create around that love.
This one was particularly special because Lisa is not Amanda's birth mother. She became her step mother when she was about 9 years old. Lisa and her family always treated Amanda like she was born into their family, even after she and Amanda's father divorced Lisa fought to keep her even though she was of no blood relation. Amanda said to me that
"Neither one of my birth parents ever took really good care of me so it was a blessing for me to have someone show up and love me like a child should be loved."
Every time I read that again I get a huge lump in my throat and fight to clear my eyes. Isn't that what being a parent is all about! Just loving a child as she should be loved! Amanda's story is yet another reason I put pictures into albums and send them out into the world to be loved.

You did a wonderful job of capturing me and the moments of my life. I know that my family provided the pictures, but you provided the creativity and put it all together into a book that I will cherish forever, and it can be handed down to my family members when I am gone and they will always know me through your thoughtful creation,
